It's simple. We've to win two out of two: Karun Nair

Like most teams on the tricky Vizag track, Daredevils also failed to put up a good score in both their games, losing by 80 runs and 19 runs (DL method) to MI and RPS, respectively.

Delhi Daredevils came here last week standing third in the points table with 12 points from 10 matches. On Wednesday, they travelled to Raipur, their destination for their last two league matches, still on 12 points, having slipped to sixth place.

Having lost both their games here to Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiants, Zaheer Khan's Daredevils have no option but to win their remaining two games, against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 20 and Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 22 to be in contention for the Playoffs.

Like most teams on the tricky Vizag track, Daredevils also failed to put up a good score in both their games, losing by 80 runs and 19 runs (DL method) to MI and RPS, respectively.

The chopping and changing of the playing XI according to the opposition has worked for them on most occasions, but not here. Except for Zaheer, JP Duminy and Amit Mishra, the team is fairly young and inexperienced with South African Quinton de Kock, Sanju Samson, Karun Nair manning the batting department.

Nair, the DD No. 3 batsman who top-scored with 41 in 43 balls here in the rain-affected loss to Pune, said that the players' inexperience in pressure situations will not affect the team in their quest to win their remaining two matches.

"I don't think we have inexperience in handling pressure situations because everyone has played in situations where it is a knock-out game," said the 24-year-old right-handed batsman from Karnataka.

"It's not like we're going to be playing for the first time. Only when you play will you experience that and get better. If you don't play these kinds of games, no one is going to get better," he added.

He was confident of his team making the Playoffs. "It's quite simple, we have to win two out of two. There's no room for error now and we have to just go out there and play positively," he said outlining the plans for SRH and RCB.

Nair has scored 263 runs in 12 games with two fifties at 29.22 and a strike rate of 115.35 this IPL.

He is one of the three Daredevils players to have played in all the games so far – Samson and Mishra being the other two. On the 'horses for courses' policy adopted by the team, Nair said that it did not bother the individuals.

"As players, we are professionals. So, we have to take it as it comes and each player has to be ready to play any game. Each player has his own role. The roles don't change even if the teams change. So I think the team changing doesn't matter to individual players," said Nair.

Nair also added that team was not entirely reliant on its top-scorer with 383 runs, Quinton de Kock. A rare failure on Tuesday failed to get the DD going. Nair said: "You can't say that the team lost out on a big total because he fell for just two against RPS. All of them (in the side) are quality batsmen. It is just that we didn't get any partnerships. Even though we lost early wickets, we could have got partnerships in the middle. Even in the middle we lost wickets, that's why we lost out."
