India Test skipper Virat Kohli on Monday extended his condolences to bereaved families of 18 soldiers, who were killed at the recent terror attack on an army camp in Uri. The 27-year-old said that he was deeply hurt by the incident, adding that he could not even imagine what the families of the Uri bravehearts must be going through . 'Obviously, it feels really bad when such kind of big incidents continue to happen. I cannot even imagine what is going through the minds of the families. What is happening is very disturbing. As an Indian, yes it hurts. It hurts to every Indian to hear these kinds of incidents regularly. I can only pay my condolences to the families of our Jawans, who suffered in the incident,' Kohli said after India defeating New Zealand by 197 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match Test series here at the Green Park Stadium.
A day after the horrific incident, the Test skipper had paid homage to the Uri soldiers via his Twitter handle.

Posting a picture of the place where attack took place, Kohli wrote, 'This picture fills me with emotions I can't explain. To all the brave hearts, Jai Hind #UriAttack #Kashmir.' 18 Indian Army soldiers were killed and over 20 others were injured in an encounter with the terrorists at the Army Brigade headquarters in Uri, Jammu and Kashmir. This is the highest casualty the army has suffered in a single attack in last two decades.
All four terrorists involved in the attack were killed in what has emerged as worse than the attack on the Pathankot air base earlier in January this year, in which seven army men were killed.
