Amidst much excitement and fanfare in the star-studded inaugural season of the Indian Super League rumours have surfaced that former Chelsea striker and ex-Romania international Adrian Mutu has flatly denied that the Indian turned down his request for a visa.
As per a report published byThe Independent Mutu gave a contrasting answer, confirming that the Indian embassy in Bucharesthis has approved his visa.
It is believed that the former Chelsea star was under the influence of alcohol and reports of his visa request was declined soon after. The incident was contradictory as the 35-year-old who has has a three-month contract with the Indian Super League club Pune City F.C. on popular micro-blogging site Twitter posted a picture of his Indian visa which has been well approved.

As per Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Chelsea man was denied permission to travel to Asia after he went drunk to the Indian embassy in the Romanian capital.
Pune City played their first goalless draw against Dehli Dynamos in the ISL on Tuesday.
The tainted player denied allegations of threatening the Romanian staff working inside the embassy after he was told to to return in a sober state. He rubbished this incident as 'lies'.
He added: "I do not understand !! As a newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport write a little lie like that without verifying the information."
