North East United FC goalkeeper, T P Rehenesh, made three spectacular saves to deny Delhi Dynamos a win, as the the two sides settled for a goal-less stalemate, after an entertaining Indian Super League (ISL) match on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old Rehenesh denied Delhi captain, Alessandro del Piero, his first goal of the ISL, in the 39th minute, as he he dived full length to his right to save the Italian legend's freekick.

The Kerala goalkeeper then made diving saves to twice deny Hans Mulder, in the 87th and 90th minutes, much to the agony of the home supporters.

With the draw, Delhi Dynamos remained on fourth in the league standings, with six points from four matches, while North East maintained third spot, with eight points from five games.

The Dynamos are unbeaten in the league with three draws and a win.

North East were without marquee players, Joan Capdevila and Koke, due to injuries, but despite their absence the match was evenly contested.

Del Piero showed flashes of his brilliance, which included a fierce drive from outside the box, which was parried away by Rehenesh in the 14th minute.

The Italian's beautiful free-kick in the 39th minute was denied by a diving Rehenesh, who did well to parry it from his right.

Del Piero was later substituted in the 57th minute by Brazilian Gustavo Dos Santos.

Rehenesh was brilliant under the bar as he also made a diving save to deny Mulder a goal in the 86th minute.
