The latest in the transfer rumour cycle is that La Liga giants Real Madrid are eyeing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti.

According to a report in bleacherreport.com, Real Madrid are preparing to make a 'massive bid' for 23-year-old footie because PSG will not let go of him so easy.

Reports also suggest that amid the rumours of Toni Kroos moving to Manchester City to join former Bayern Munich coach, Pep Guardiola, Real are in the market to replace German midfielder.

PSG bought Verratti at around £10 million in 2012. In the 2014-15 Ligue 1 season, he provided 8 assists and netted twice. But an injury forced him to step back and miss out on representing Italy at Euro 2016, says the report.

If Kroos moves to City (it is expected to be a £60 million switch) owing to Real coach Zidane's plans to play in 4-2-3-1 system, Los Blancos will be in a stronger financial position to offer that 'massive bid.'
