Justice Mukul Mudgal committee, probing the IPL spot-fixing scandal, is expected to submit its final report to Supreme Court on November 3.
The panel is also expected to tell the apex court that there is enough material against Gurunath Meiyappan, son-in-law of BCCI top honcho N Srinivasan, for his alleged involvement in betting during the 2013 IPL matches.
"The voice sample of Meiyappan, in a tapped conversation with actor Vindoo Dara Singh, has been confirmed by a forensic laboratory," a highly-placed source told dna.
"The Mumbai-based laboratory had given its report confirming it to the probe committee in May this year," added the source.
The committee is also learnt to have found enough material against Meiyappan, who was not just a 'cricket enthusiast' as claimed by Srinivasan but was involved in betting.
A small-time Bollywood actor Vindoo was arrested for allegedly acting as a middleman between Meiyappan and bookies. Both Meiyappan and Vindoo are out on bail.
This disclosure will spell trouble for Srinivasan, whose company India Cements own Chennai Super Kings. As per the IPL constitution, a franchise stands to be terminated if its owner is found to have indulged in betting on IPL matches.
In the interim report, submitted to the court in a sealed cover in August this year, the panel talks about the role of 13 individuals and the alleged involvement of Meiyappan, an official of CSK, in betting and leaking confidential match related information during the 2013 IPL matches.
dna had reported that a commentator's name is figures among the 13 names listed in the sealed envelope submitted to the apex court.
At least seven players, out of which three belong to CSK, Delhi Daredevils and Mumbai Indians have two each in their squad.
The court, which was hearing a plea filed by Cricket Association f Bihar (CAB), had asked Justice Mudgal, a retired Chief Justice of Punjab and Harayan high Court, to probe into the IPL spot fixing allegations.
The committee had submitted its preliminary report in February had mentioned about role of Srinivasan and Meiyappan in the scandal.
Acting on the report, the apex court in May had asked Srinivasan to step down from the post of president of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
It had also asked Justice Mudgal committee to investigate the scam with the help of National Narcotics Bureau deputy director BB Mishra of Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi police.
A bench headed by Justice T S Thakur, which had granted extension and sought final report in two months, will hear the matter on November 10.
