Quinton de Kock's fabulous innings was cut short by a wrong decision.

The current edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) has already been marred with it's fair share of controversies and on Thursday during the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) versus Delhi Daredevils (DD) match, South African umpire Marais Erasmus received widespread criticism when he wrongly adjudged Delhi opener, Quinton de Kock, 'out'.
In the tenth over of Delhi innings, Sunrisers' all-rounder Moises Henriques bowled a short and wide delivery, which De Kock tried to upper cut but missed completely, he lost his helmet in the process and the bowler kept on appealing as Naman Ojha caught the ball behind the stumps. Erasmus, at first, did not give that 'out' but just when Henriques' appeal was about to die down, the umpire slowly but steadily raised his finger to the utter dismay of De Kock.
The South African wicket-keeper batsman couldn't believe his luck as he trudged off the field with the home team celebrating in the background at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. De Kock scored 44 off 31 balls which included five fours and two sixes.
However, the Daredevils weren't affected by this decision as they chased down the home team's meagre total of 146 in 19 overs, winning the match by seven wickets.
Social media was abuzz with the news of this horrendous decision as Twitterati made fun of Erasmus.

An intriguing decision against @QuinnyDeKock69! The Fact that his helmet was disturbed in play should have been referred! #SRHvDD #IPL
