After losing out Kevin Pietersen due to a calf muscle injury, Rising Pune Supergiants (RPSG) endured another setback when South African star batsman Faf du Plessis was ruled out of the entire edition of Indian Premier league (IPL) on Thursday due to a broken finger.
The 31-year-old cricketer confirmed the news on Twitter. "And so my Ipl tournament unfortunately comes to and end.Broken finger and out for 6 weeks.Thanx India and @RPSupergiants it's been fun," he wrote.

Du Plessis batted right at the top of the order for all the matches he played for Pune. In the six matches so far this season, he scored 206 runs with 2 half centuries. His highest score was 69.
Given the fact that the Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led outfit have not begun their campaign on a bright note (2 wins and 4 defeats), this injury update will further aggravate their problems.
