IPL 2015: Pune, Mumbai to host playoff matches, Kolkata gets the Final

The Final will be hosted by Eden Gardens, Kolkata as expected. The venue for the Qualifier 1 on May 19 is yet to be announced.

The governing council for the IPL has announced venues for play off games of IPL 2015 on Monday.

Reports confirm that Pune will host the eliminator on May 20, whereas Wankhede stadium (Mumbai) will host Qualifier Two on May 22. The Final will be held at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.  The venue for Qualifier 1 on May 19  is yet to be decided.

IPL’s official website (IPLT20.com) has confirmed the news. IPL Chairman Rajeev Shukla is happy at the positive response garnered and is upbeat about the matches to be held. 

Also the IPL will celebrate its 500th match at the Brabourne Stadium (Mumbai) on 3rd May 2015 between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Daredevils, which the governing council has confirmed. 

It also supported the proposal of Shukla, to consider supporting the blind cricket team of India, who won the World Cup recently.  The Working Committee of the BCCI will look into the matter.
