To make a name for yourself as a young cricketer is a daunting task. No matter how many hours you put in the nets or pay attention to the uncountable coaching sessions, making an impact on the field is the opening door for progression. This was the case for young Australian bowler Adam Zampa who succeeded in the last IPL campaign for the Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS).

The Australian leg spinner thrived under then RPS captain MS Dhoni and started appearing in the headlines. Ahead of the IPL 10, Zampa took to twitter to express the eagerness of playing with India's most successful captain yet again.

Hailing Dhoni's presence on the pitch, Zampa spoke to cricket.com.au. "Dhoni has been a calming influence on the field and his advice on how to bowl to a particular batsman came handy for me. He has guided me right through the tournament and that has helped my bowling. He's exactly how you'd think he is. Very chilled. Not in terms of not caring, but the way you see him on the field is exactly what he's like off the field as well. I know my role pretty well and I know when to try to defend and when to attack. So, nothing really changes too much for me, " he said.

Despite Pune's failures to qualify for the semi-finals of the IPL 9, Zampa achieved the second best bowling figures in the history of the IPL along with leading the bowling chart for his side. After a new captain in the name of Steve Smith, it will be intriguing to see how the Australian spinner fancies his chances when the Rising Pune Supergiant kicks off their campaign on 6th April against the Mumbai Indians.
