When Australian left-arm spinner Steve O'Keefe was busy ripping apart the Indian batting order in the Pune Test, two former cricketers, one from Australia and another from England were involved in a Twitter banter.

The Australia-England rivalry is such that the former players of these teams love to pull each other's leg even when their countries aren't playing against each other. So how could legendary leg-spinner Shane Warne let go of the opportunity to troll Michael Vaughan? Both are very much active on the micro-blogging here's what happened after O'Keefe's magic spell floored the Indians.

".@MichaelVaughan You're very quiet !!!!" quipped the Aussie.

The leggie didn't stop there as he tried to rub salt on Vaughan's wound by tweeting, ".@MichaelVaughan Ps How bad were your boys over here ? This must be hurting to watch the Aussies dominate hahah"

But then Vaughan counter-attacked.

"I just wished the Aussies would have taken your advice and not played Okeefe ... !!!!!!!" was the former England captain's reply which referred to the time when Warne had advised the Australian selectors to prefer Ashton Agar in Tests instead of O'Keefe.

Vaughan went ahead to make a little more fun of his Australian counterpart. "Please Please @CricketAus make @ShaneWarne a Selector.... It could be our only way of retaining the Ashes this winter ... #Cheers."

Warne had no reply to this but the conversation proved to be as riveting as second's day play of the first Test match between India and Australia.  O'Keefe picked up six wickets in 24 deliveries, including three in an over, to trigger a spectacular collapse and help Australia bundle out India for 105 in their first innings on Friday.

Replying to Australia's 260, world's top-ranked side India, unbeaten in their previous 19 tests, lost their last seven wickets for 11 runs as O'Keefe ran through their batting to finish with figures of 6-35, his maiden five-wicket haul.

Australia took a first innings lead of 155, a significant advantage on a spin-friendly track at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, which is making its debut as a test centre. The touring side, which have lost their last nine tests in Asia and were considered underdogs before the start of the four-match series, reached 143 for four at stumps in their second innings, an overall lead of 298 runs.
