The biggest concern for any Indian cricket fan at the moment is whether captain Virat Kohli, who suffered a shoulder in Ranchi will be able to take the field on Saturday in the fourth Test against Australia. While speaking to the media at Dharamsala, the skipper gave a fair account of the state of his injury and this may be disconcerting for the management.

The skipper on being asked whether the team's policy of leaving out players who aren't fully fit, will be applied on him or not, said, "When we had put these things into place, I had said that the same process applies for me as well as the rest of the team. I am not special. So only if I am 100% fit for the game, I will take the field."

Kohli was also asked about the risk of playing with the injury, to which he replied, "I don't know the magnitude of the risk, that the physio can tell better, but if I pass the fitness test, I will take the field."

Now that Kohli is carrying an injury, what's the feeling? "It's very different from competition. That's what I realised in Ranchi that when you have reactive moments, the magnitude of your injury comes out and those are the things we need to keep in mind and the physio wants to give some more time so that I can test myself and probably we will take a call tonight or tomorrow. It has a chance of getting aggravated in the field, not while batting but while fielding. But I had taken medication after Ranchi and lets see how it goes," said Kohli.

Kohli was asked whether he was under any pressure to get fit in time as he is the captain, to which he replied, "You want to push yourself to be fit but you have to understand that it's not due to lack of fitness rather an impact injury so we need some more time. We have to figure out that how will I be able to move against 140 kmph. If I am not being able to make it, then the other guys will take it as an opportunity to take the team ahead. And everyone is really proud and motivated to play for the country and me playing or not playing shouldn't make any difference for them.

"I have not done anything special so far but still the guys have fought it out and that shows why we are the no. 1 side. These are the kind of opportunities which they would be perceiving as game changing moments of their lives."

"Every match is as crucial as the other but sometimes you have to accept that these things are a part of your career and these are bound to happen," he added.

Kohli is nursing an injury on his right shoulder sustained while trying to save a boundary in Australia's first innings at Ranchi. He didn't bat in the nets on Thursday but was seen wielding his willow at the picturesque Dharamsala Stadium on Friday.

Uncapped Mumbai batsman Shreyas Iyer flew in on Friday as cover for Kohli who has been rather subdued in the series, managing 46 runs in five innings.
