All throughout the ongoing four match Test series, the Australians have kept a tab on their sledging antics, especially against Indian captain Virat Kohli, but on Saturday Glenn Maxwell's gesture which was intended to mock Kohli, didn't go down well with Indian fans.
Kohli, who had hurt his shoulder while diving to save a boundary on Day 1 and didn't take the field the next day, came to bat at No. 4 at the fall of Murali Vijay's wicket. Soon Maxwell dived full length at the ropes to stop a Cheteshwar Pujara on drive from reaching the fence. He tumbled over and while returning to take his position in the field, the middle order batsman held his shoulder with wicked smile on his face. Even some of the Australian supporters present at the stadium were mocking Kohli in the same manner.
The Indian captain edged the next ball to second slip where Steve Smith took a sharp catch much to the joy of the visitors.
