Alessandro Del Piero and David Trezeguet will lock horns in the much awaited Delhi versus Pune ISL tie.
A mouth watering clash awaits fans of the newly launched Indian Super League (ISL) as home side Delhi Dynamos lock horns with Hrithik Roshan owned Pune City FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Tuesday.
The two players to watch out for in the contest would be World Cup winners, Italy's Alessandro Del Piero (2006) and France's David Trezeguet (1998), who will represent Delhi and Pune respectively.
The match may be decided by the form of either of the two veteran's and looks set to go down to the wire, thanks to the presence of other top quality talent in both sides.
Apart from Del Piero, Delhi boast of talented Indian players such as Francis Fernandes and Steven Dias and also have a couple of top quality Danish strikers to boot in the form of Mads Junker and Morten Skoubo.
Coming to Pune, and Trezeguet will be leading a side which has players of the calibre of Kostas Katsouranis (who captained Greece in the 2014 World Cup) and have others such as Park Kwang-il, Lenny Rodrigues and Daniele Magliocchetti, who may be part of the starting eleven.
Anwar Ali is expected to be the rock in the Delhi defence with giant Belgian keeper, Kristof Van Hout, being the man to shoulder the goalkeeping responsibility.
Shylo Malswamtulunga will be the player to watch out for on the flanks, as the Dynamos will certainly benefit from the winger's pace and pin point crosses against Pune.
As for Pune, Katsouranis will be key in midfield and the likes of Rodrigues and Park will be expected to pull strings and counter Delhi's midfield threat.
So as it stands, the match definitely looks like a nail biter with the two former World Cup winners expected to go head on to give their respective teams a priceless win.
