Legendary Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar has criticized Indian batsmen, describing them as 'escapist' following a three wicket loss to England, as Mahendra Singh Dhoni's men were knocked out of the Tri-series without securing a single win.
Reflecting on India's defeat against England, Gavaskar said that most of the batsmen were 'content in staying at the other end or playing rash shots and getting out', News.com.au reported.

Gavaskar further said that most of the Indian batsmen looked like they 'just wanted to give up', adding that cricket was not about that, it was about 'putting up a fight', the report added.
Reigning world champions India failed to win a single match in their two-month tour of Australia.
