For three years, Chennai’s avid cricket fans didn’t get an opportunity to watch one day internationals (ODI) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk. Now, ODI matches will be played once again and the first match will be on October 22 as part of the Gandhi-Mandela series.

Many people here believe that this crucial match on Thursday will be Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s last match in a one-day international. There seem to be a lot of enquiries for tickets for this match. Considering Chennai also has a holiday on Thursday for Vijayadasami, the demand for tickets seems to be high this time around.
