The Virat Kohli - Ben Stokes duel is the talk of the town with the stars getting involved in on-field altercations in the 3rd Test at Mohali and continuing their battle by sending off each other using sign language.

So it was apparent that a question on the topic would be asked to the Indian captain after the end of the match which India won by eight wickets and the aggressive leader gave a swift reply without divulging what happened on the field. "See, he is competitive player and so am I. I wouldn't like to explain or elaborate what happened on the field. It's better left to officials to understand and know what happened. These things only motivated me in the past and they continue to do so, I don't mind it," said Kohli.

It all started when Parthiv Patel stumped Stokes off Ravindra Jadeja’s bowling on Day 1. Stokes didn’t take kindly to the discussion and seemed to have a verbal exchange with Kohli as he walked back to the pavilion and umpire Marais Erasmus had to intervene. The English all-rounder had what seemed like the last laugh when he managed to get Kohli out on Day 2 and celebrated his dismissal by keeping his hands on his mouth. However, it was Kohli who had the last laugh when Stokes got out to Ravichandran Ashwin on Day 3 and Kohli waved him goodbye with a ‘silent finger on the lips gesture’.
