For India, the form of Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli continues to be worrying as both of them have lacked the promised firepower and so far have had a lull form in the series. However, India should not slip and squander away the lead it has gained over England after the Cardiff win. Ajinkya Rahane has proved on more than one occassion that he has the natural ability to perform in big games too and give India the kind of start it requires. Suresh Raina let his bat do the talking after smashing a ton to give the English pacemen a hard time as he powered India to a 300 plus score.
England will look to up their game today with the prime focus on batting which seems a concern right now. Joe Root continues to remain a favourite in the 50-over format of the game too and could begin to look dangerous if he settles down. Apart from Root , Alex Hales, Alastair Cook and Ian Bell could spell trouble for India as they form the crux of the England batting.
The match will begin at 15:00 hours (IST)
