IND vs BAN: DRS to be used for Bangladesh Test

After the successful use of Decision Review System in the five-Test home series against England, the use of technology will be in vogue in the one-off Test between India and Bangladesh starting on Thursday.

This was confirmed to DNA on Tuesday by an official in the know of things. The DRS was used on a trial basis in the series against England. It was also used for the first time in a bilateral ODI series in India in the three-match series.

The presence of three international umpires also confirmed that DRS would be in use in this Test. While ICC elite panel umpire and David Shepherd Trophy for best ICC umpire of the year 2016, Marais Erasmus from South Africa will be the on-field umpire with West Indies' Joel Wilson while New Zealand's Chris Gaffaney will be the third umpire. Until India started using DRS in home Tests, an India was be the third umpire.

For the record, Zimbabwean Andy Pycroft has been appointed the match referee for the Test.
