MS Dhoni has millions of fans and admirers within the country as well as overseas. This is common for a man who has led a country of cricket fanatics like India to three ICC trophies, a feat achieved by no other captain. As far as his batting is concerned, he is often dubbed as the best finisher India has ever produced. His slow starts leading to explosive ends with raining sixes all over the park has helped India cross the lines on numerous occasions.

Unruffled in jubilation and unshaken in defeat, Dhoni’s brand of captaincy was the perfect match for an Indian team which was in the process of getting rid of the monumental names of Indian cricket and being replaced by young blood. His nerves of steel in pressure situations and his ability to pull off calculated risks, maximising output on bare-bones resources, was the result of a measured and level-headed approach which had helped India cross the line on multiple occasions.

Caster Semenya, the South African athlete who has been immensely successful in the five ringed tournament and also won Gold medal in 2016 Olympics for South Africa, recently took to Twitter to admire the former Indian captain.

The film set the cash registers ringing in Box Office and collected Rs 132.29 crores in the Indian circuit. Although Dhoni is struggling with the bat at this edition of IPL, we are eagerly waiting for him to return to CSK and continue his heroics in the IPL.
