Mexican striker Javier Hernandez produced another stellar performance on Sunday as he netted twice to help Real Madrid claim a 4-2 win over Celta de Vigo in their La Liga tie and thereby closed the gap on league leaders Barcelona.
Agudo Durán put the hosts ahead in the ninth minute before Toni Kroos levelled with a 16-yard stunning shot seven minutes later.
Hernandez, on-loan from Manchester United, fired home a low shot after help from James Rodriguez to put Real ahead in the 24th minute. However, Santiago Mina immediately secured an equaliser four minutes later with a close-range finish, the BBC reported.
Rodriguez scored a deflected strike to give the tourists a 3-2 advantage before the half-time. Subsequently, the Mexican striker, who scored the decisive goal against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday to help them reach Champions League semi-finals, added a second goal to seal the game.
With the win, Real are second on La Liga table with 79 points, two points behind leaders Barcelona.
