India's first ever gymnast to compete in the Olympics, Dipa Karmakar, is contemplating returning her luxurious BMW car, presented to her by Sachin Tendulkar for her performance at the Rio Olympics.
According to a report in Times of India, Dipa's coach said, "There are two main reasons behind it. First, there is no BMW service center in Agartala and secondly, the roads are not suitable to drive a posh car such as this." He added that the collective decision was taken by Dipa's family members.
Though Master Blaster Tendulkar presented Dipa the keys of the car, along with Sakshi Malik, PV Sindhu and her coach Pullela Gopichand, the cars were sponsored by Hyderabad Badminton Association's president V Chamundeshwarnath.

India's goodwill ambassador at the Rio Olympics, Tendulkar, handed over the keys of BMW to Gopichand and his ward PV Sindhu who won the silver medal in Women's singles badminton. Sakshi Malik, who won a bronze medal in women's freestyle wrestling in 58 kg category and Dipa, who finished fourth in artistic gymnastics, were other two recipients.
