Harbhajan Singh has been in as much news as anyone else in the wake of India's stunning loss against Australia in the first Test at Pune on Saturday. The offie is making headlines after his stinging comments against the visiting team backfired in the most stunning fashion.

'If Australia play well, India will win the series 3-0,' Bhajji had said. "But that can't happen now," skipper Steve Smith retorted emphatically after the first Test.

Harbhajan, though, did well to see the lighter side of the massive trolling he has been receiving online. "Today, my predictions have been proved wrong. I have been getting trolled on the social media for making this prediction," he was quoted as saying by Indian Express.

The Turbanator - who is currently in Delhi to play in the Vijay Hazare Trophy - was critical of the wicket laid out in Pune. "“To be honest, that wasn’t a pitch. Test cricket should last five days. You cannot play on such wickets where anyone runs in to bowl and takes wickets. I have played in over 100 Tests, and I know how hard I had to work to earn every single wicket,” he said.

“When you prepare such a wicket, you are making conditions favourable for the opposition as well. That’s what happened in Pune. When I say a good Test wicket, I mean a strip where the ball does not shoot up from the first day itself,” added the Punjab skipper.

The legendary Indian off-spinner also held himself back while reviewing the Man of the Match from the first Test Steve O'Keefe. The left-arm spinner picked up six wickets each in both innings to tame the famed Indian batting line-up. “I will have to see him bowl on a good Test match wicket. Not this one. Till then, I will reserve my comments,” said Harbhajan.

“You don’t need to flight the ball or anything. You just need to bowl fast and not give the batsmen room to either come down the track, or be able to manoeuvre the ball around. Bowling six deliveries in the same spot is all you need to get wickets on such tracks," he concluded.
