Off spinner Harbhajan Singh has been included in India's Test squad against Bangladesh, for the one-off Test starting June 10. India will also play 3 ODIs starting June 18.

Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan however did not find a place in either the Test or ODI squads, which were announced on Wednesday after BCCI's selection committee meeting.

There had earlier been speculation that Harbhajan, Sehwag, Yuvraj and Zaheer may be afforded a 'farewell series' against Bangladesh.

BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur said Harbhajan had been included 'keeping in mind Bangladesh conditions'. He claimed that there had been discussion on Harbhajan's inclusion in earlier meetings too. However, Thakur said Yuvraj Singh's name did not crop up during the meeting.

Virat Kohli, who earlier was to skip the Bangladesh series, has been named skipper for the Tests while Dhoni continues as the ODI skipper.

Squads:

Test: Virat Kohli (captain), M Vijay, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Wriddhiman Saha, R Ashwin, Harbhajan Singh, Karn Sharma, Bhuvneshwar, Umesh Yadav, Varun Aaron, Ishant Sharma

ODIs: MS Dhoni (captain), Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav, Mohit Sharma, Stuart Binny, Dhawal Kulkarni

Mohammad Shami does not find a place in either squad due to injury. Left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja has been dropped.

Thakur added in response to a question that there had been no final decision on holding an India-Pakistan bilateral series, saying that 'many issues have to be resolved first'. A new coach is also yet to be decided, Thakur added. He quipped that 'good things come to those who wait'.
