Guardiola compares 'all-time best' Messi to Pele as Barca enter CL finals

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has compared Lionel Messi to Brazilian legendary footballer Pele, describing the Barcelona talisman as 'best player of all time'.

Barca reached their first Champions League final since 2011 despite enduring a 3-2 defeat against the German club in their return-leg tie on Tuesday night in Germany.

Messi had inspired the Catalan giants to a 3-0 win with a brace in the first leg tie against Bayern last week.

Guardiola, who coached Barca between 2008 and 2012, said that he compares Messi with Pele as he is the best player of all time. The Spaniard further said that he hoped Barca claim their fifth Champions League title, the BBC reported.

Barca will either play defending champions Real Madrid or Juventus in the final in Berlin on 6 June.
