Francesco Totti surpassed the milestone of 200 Serie A goals when his double helped AS Roma come from behind twice to draw 2-2 at Fiorentina on Sunday.

A second brace in a week brought the Roma skipper's total to 201, within four goals of retired Italian striker Roberto Baggio who lies fifth in the all-time list, and kept his team in sixth place, four points off the Champions League spots.

Ninth-placed Fiorentina took the lead in the 22nd minute when the rejuvenated Adrian Mutu skipped past Juan before firing home left-footed.

Seconds after Alberto Gilardino had missed a glorious opportunity to double the lead, Totti equalised from the penalty spot after John Arne Riise had been upended in the box.

Alessandro Gamberini volleyed into the top corner after Mutu had flicked on a corner to restore the hosts' lead in the 35th minute.

After Mutu and Juan Vargas had hit the woodwork, Totti collected a Riise cross on the right side of the box on 52 minutes and showed his class by finding the top corner with the outside of his foot to equalise.

The draw maintained Roma coach Vincenzo Montella's unbeaten start in the league since taking over from Claudio Ranieri a month ago.

On Saturday, leaders AC Milan lost 1-0 at Palermo and stayed five points clear of Inter Milan ahead of Sunday's main fixtures, while Lazio moved fourth with a 1-0 win at home to Cesena.
