Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff admitted that his team has learned from its previous mistakes, and is better prepared to handle the ferocious rivalry between teammates Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg in the upcoming Formula One season.

Reflecting on the 2014 rivalry between teammates, Wolff said that the team never expected it to be any different but they had learned a lot from last year.

Wolff further said that they had learned from working with each other, analysing mistakes, and they would be trying to do things better in 2015, the BBC reported.

Admitting that the rivalry could spark off again in the upcoming season, Wolff said that they were very well aware that could happen this year as well.

The rivalry between Hamilton and Rosberg, who were childhood friends, started mounting at a number of races last season, notably in Monaco and Spa.

Lewis Hamilton edged out his Mercedes teammate and title rival Nico Rosberg to win the 2014 Formula One World Championship after storming to victory in Abu Dhabi.
