Europa League: Everton hammer Young Boys 3-1; sail into quarter-finals

Striker Romelu Lukaku displayed a stellar performance as his brace guided Everton to a 3-1 win over BSG Young Boys, in the Europa League round of 32 second leg on Thursday night at Goodison Park.

Everton recorded a staggering 7-2 aggregate over the Swiss club, which saw Lukaku scoring a total of five individual goals in the tie, the BBC reported.

The Belgian striker netted an equalizer through a clinical penalty finish in the 25th minute after Sanago Junior put Young Boys ahead at the start of the game. 

Subsequently, Lukaku doubled the lead five minutes later before Kevin Mirallas added a third one to give his side an unassailable 3-1 lead. 

Everton are the only British side remaining in the Europa League.
