Manchester United shot stopper, David de Gea, was named United's Players' Player of the Season and Fans' Player of the Season at the club's award ceremony on Tuesday evening.

Among all speculations revolving his possible transfer to Spanish giants Real Madrid, he cliched the double. The 24-year-old has been having a good season and was seen putting match winning performances. He has played all the matches for United this season keeping 10 clean sheets and managing 94 saves.

The keeper was only the fourth in the Club's history to win the Fans' Player of the year award for two consecutive seasons. Only Roy Keane, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Cristiano Ronaldo have managed this feat so far.

David took to social media site, Twitter, to express his happiness. "A very big THANKS everyone! Muchísimas GRACIAS a todos!", he wrote on his tweet.

Juan Mata on the other hand, won the United's Goal of the Season for his volley against Liverpool at Anfield.

Club legend, Ryan Giggs and current manager, Louis van Gaal were among those who voted for the Spaniard.

He suffered an injury in his last game and was seen limping off the pitch. Former Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes replaced him, making his club debut.
