England assistant coach Paul Farbrace said that his team is 'progressing well' ahead of the World Cup, which gets underway from February 14 in Australia and New Zealand.

Following a nine wickets win over India, England lost to Australia in Hobart and will now face India again on Friday in order to book a spot in the final match against Australia. Commenting on the loss against Australia, Farbrace said that they had a 'close game' in Hobart and it was great for learning about playing under pressure, the BBC reported.

According to him, if they had played 'a bit better in a couple of areas' they could've won but the progression they have made between the Sydney and Hobart games was excellent, the report added. England will open their World Cup campaign against Australia on 14 February in Melbourne.
