Liverpool will square up against Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Tuesday in the fourth round of the EFL Cup. Last season Manchester City won the trophy by beating Liverpool on penalties at Wembley, and Jurgen Klopp's side will be looking to go one better this time round as they seek their first trophy since winning the League Cup for a record eighth time in 2012.

"We decided after the game against City that we should try again," said Klopp about Liverpool's EFL Cup ambitions on Monday. He also confirmed that  Belgian Simon Mignolet will start ahead of Loris Karius in goal against Spurs although added that the German is now his first choice.

"I didn't know anything about the (League Cup) final before (last year). When I was there, it's a real final, a real experience," he said, predicting a close game against Spurs, whom he said did not 'have a lot of weaknesses'.
