British Formula One racer Lewis Hamilton is reportedly speeding towards a staggering 5 million pounds bonus if he clinches his second world title in Abu Dhabi.

The bank-busting boost would take Hamilton's income to the biggest of his stellar career.

Already on 17 million pounds, Hamilton is raking in 51 million pounds for three years' work at champions Mercedes and has recently been in the type of form that makes him look a bargain, even at that price, The Mirror reported. And the bonus would take it to 56 million pounds by the end of next season when the deal runs out.

So, Hamilton arrives for the penultimate round of the world championship in Brazil just two races away from the biggest payday of his life.

An insider revealed that when the contracts were done, no one could have imagined Hamilton or Mercedes would be in this position so soon, but added that all the Briton really wants to do is win the world championship.
