1) Our bowlers need to stop making minor mistakes against South Africa- Rohit Sharma: Indian opener Rohit Sharma on Tuesday said the bowlers needed to be proactive against batsman like AB de Villiers if they want to win matches against the Proteas. Speaking to media ahead of their second ODI against South Africa to be played at Kanpur on Wednesday, Rohit revealed that his bowlers are consistently working to resolve their minor mistakes.

2) FIFA and UEFA were kept in dark about Platini's deal with Sepp Blatter- Lennart Johansson: Former UEFA president Lennart Johansson says that the European football body was never told about the payment of 2 million Swiss francs ($2.1 million) from Sepp Blatter to current UEFA boss Michel Platini. Both Platini and Blatter were suspended from football for 90 days by FIFA's Ethics Committee last week with a 2011 payment from FIFA to Blatter under scrutiny. 

3) Hansie Cronje match fixing scandal- Delhi court to hear arguments from January 18: A Delhi court has fixed January 18 next year for hearing arguments on framing of charges in the match-fixing scandal case of 2000 in which police has chargesheeted six persons, including former South African captain Hansie Cronje. Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sanjay Khanagwal posted the matter for consideration on charge after the court was informed that copies of documents filed along with the charge sheet have been supplied to the accused.

4) BCCI sends letter to DDCA for allowing Vidarbha players to interact with Mohammed Azharuddin: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has shot off a letter to the Delhi & Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) for allowing some of the Vidarbha cricketers to flout the Anti Corruption norms by speaking to former India captain Mohammed Azharuddin during a Ranji Trophy match against Delhi at Feroz Shah Kotla. The players in question are veteran cricketers Wasim Jaffer and S Badrinath along with chief coach Paras Mhambrey, who were seen speaking to Azharuddin on the sidelines of their Ranji Trophy match against Delhi, where the former India captain had come on invitation of DDCA vice-president Chetan Chauhan.​

5) Younis Khan upstages Javed Miandad as Pakistan's highest test scorer: Younis Khan surpassed the record for most runs for Pakistan in test cricket during the first match against England in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, overtaking Javed Miandad's previous mark of 8,832 runs. The 37-year-old Younis overhauled the record in his 102nd match, taking 22 fewer than Miandad to set the mark.
