The second day of the Femina NYUZ Makers Cricket Challenge saw Dharmanandan Diamonds and Cygnus walk away with top honours. The former beat Gehna Jewellers by 81 runs and the latter overcame Ghanasingh-Be True by 122 runs.
Dharmanandan won the toss and chose to field. Their owner Piyush Patel jumped all across the park to stop the boundaries and singles. But the player who stood out from the rest was Pankti Mistry. She was adjudged the woman-of-the-match for striking every ball she faced. Unfortunately, Gehna’s team owner and captain Sunil Datwani was unavailable for the tie.
On the other hand, Cygnus players learnt the tricks of the trade after observing the first match. Mitesh Vora bagged the man-of-the-match award for Cygnus. Ghanasingh could not do much despite their owner Gautam Ghanasingh’s loud cheers from the crowd.
