Pune: Deepali Shildankar won the women's Open event in the Lifecycle Pune Bicycle Championship organised by the Lifecycle Mall, India's largest multibrand showroom which was held at Sinhagad, here on Sunday.
Deepali finished ahead of Chaitrali Pavnaskar and Shruti Marathe, this six edition of the championship which attracted over was 111 cyclists in seven different categories.
Ramesh Joshi, emerged champion in the open men Hybrid, with the best timing of 39mins and 35secs. He was followed by Sidharth Gadekar of Team Lifecycle Racing, who had the 2nd best overall time at 40mins and 22secs. Ashish K who had also won at PBCh at Lavasa in the past won the hotly contested Open men's MTB race.
Dhruv Kaluskar, Nikhil Jakkal, Vishal Pawar and Anjali Bhalinge were the other champions in the contest which saw cyclists from all over the state and from Kerala took part in the championship which was sponsored by Cadence Indoor cycling and Apace sports wear.
