Australia cricket team coach Darren Lehmann has called on Shane Watson to convert his 50s into tons as the all-rounder has hit 23 half-centuries with just four centuries in 55 Test appearances.

Lehmann said that they would love for Watson, who is a source of frustration to many because of his obvious ability, to get a hundred when he gets a 50.

Lehmann said that Watson, who scored 52 and 17 at the MCG that gave him a Test average of 25.80 in 2014, should have gone on with his day four's 17, adding that that is the same with all their players, News.com.au reported.

The coach stated that Watson is a very good player, adding that he's done a job with the team in the third Test.

Lehmann said that the all-rounder came in at 1 for 0 and put on 115 with Chris Rogers, which allowed them to get 530, so they are pleased with Watson's output.

Lehmann claimed that they would love Watson to make a hundred, and is hoping that it comes in Sydney.

The fourth and final Test between Australia and India starts in Sydney on January 6, with the hosts leading the series two-nil, the report added.
