In the list of players submitted by the teams before the October 31 deadline, the names of George Bailey, Joginder Sharma, Scott Styris, Abhinav Mukund, Suraj Randiv, Doug Bollinger (CSK);  Darren Bravo, Daniel Christian, Manpreet Gony, Daniel Harris (Deccan Chargers); Glenn Maxwell, Venugopal Rao, Travis Birt, Colin Ingram, Aaron Finch, Doug Bracewell, Robin Bist (Delhi Daredevils); James Faulkner, Ramesh Powar, Stuart Broad, Abhishek Nayar (Kings XI Punjab); Jaydev Unadkat (Kolkata Knight Riders); Clint McKay, Thissara Perera, Dwayne Smith, Richard Levi, Davy Jacobs (Mumbai Indians); Michael Clarke, Callum Ferguson, Nathan McCullum, Jesse Ryder, Steve Smith, James Hopes, Tamim Iqbal, Graeme Smith (Pune Warriors India); Johan Botha, Paul Collingwood, Owais Shah, Dinesh Chandimal (Rajasthan Royal); Dirk Nannes, Luke Pomersbach, Mohammad Kaif (Royal Challengers Bangalore) are missing.

Notable non-performers who have been retained are Mumbai Indians’ Harbhajan Singh and Chennai Super Kings’ Ravindra Jadeja. The number of players, including Indians, who have been released are 107. The number of players who have been retained is 79 in which 120 are Indians and 59 are foreigners. The teams have been allowed to spend, including through transfer trades, $12.5 million. The teams can go to next year’s mini auction with the balance after the counting the retained players’ salaries.
