Cristiano Ronaldo is already a football star with his style of play, goals and personality, but now the Portuguese player has Nike adding glitter to his stardom.
The 28-year-old on Monday took to Twitter to share a picture of himself with the new Nike Mercurial galaxy.
The new shoes will be Ronaldo's signature boots.
In a press release Nike said, "The Mercurial IX boot features an all-over digital print of the Star Vela Supernova and includes a seven star path print, paying homage to Cristiano's No 7 shirt number."
Ronaldo tweeted, "My new #Mercurial boots from @NikeFootball - what do you think?"
Here are the tweets that the winger tweeted,
With a blue glow and silver star like elements, the new boots and kit look extra terrestrial and seek to solidify Cristiano Ronaldo's out of the world talent with a look that is close to the stars and galaxy.
The Real Madrid star also shared this YouTube video with a tweet that read, "How fast is fast? You tell me."
The new boots will make their debut on Saturday when Ronaldo's team Real Madrid and Lionel Messi's team Barcelona face-off.
With two of football's best players of their generation playing against each other the debut of Nike's Mercurial galaxy seems well timed.
Will the new shoes help Ronaldo play better and score more goals to help him secure his team a win, only time will tell.
