Real Madrid's prolific goal scorer, Cristiano Ronaldo, has picked up the Golden Boot award, after he scored a staggering 31 times for the Bernabeu club, in the 2013-14 season.

Ronaldo shared the award with Barcelona goal machine, Luis Suarez, who finished on the same goal tally as the Portuguese, who incidentally had a sensational season with the Catalan club.

The ceremony was conducted in Madrid, in the aftermath of Real's 1-0 win over Liverpool in the Champions League, and the award was presented to Ronaldo by club president, Florentino Perez.

Ronaldo said that he planned to extend his stay at Madrid, and also hoped that good performances would follow, in the aftermath of the award.

Suarez was presented with his own version of the boot, in a Barcelona ceremony on October 15.
