Cheteshwar Pujara scored his maiden century for Yorkshire on Wednesday, with an unbeaten 133 in the second innings of a Division One game against Hampshire.

He shrugged off his first innings disappointment as his century came in 182 balls which helped setting Hampshire set a target of 450. At stumps, Hampshire were 37 for 4.

Pujara had scores of 0, 57, 23 and 33 before this century for Yorkshire. He put on 130 for the fourth wicket with Jonny Bairstow who made a fine 59.

The right-handed Indian earlier scored 219 runs in six innings for Derbyshire and is targeting a place in India's test squad this summer.
