The Indian ODI team captain posted a 'salute selfie' on Twitter to celebrate the importance of Independence Day.

Indian ODI team captain MS Dhoni posted a 'salute selfie' on the micro-blogging website Twitter on Friday morning dressed in the Indian Army uniform to celebrate Independence Day.
His respect for the force is well-known as this is not the first time that the wicketkeeper-batsman has donned the uniform, he had earlier worn the unifrom of a commando when he was conferred with the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

He was also conferred the honour for outstanding contribution in the field of sports and his commitment to the Army on various occasions. "It's a real honour as I always wanted to be part of the Indian Army. It's (joining the Indian Army) something that I always wanted to achieve as a kid and now that I have donned the olive greens, my dream has been fulfilled," he had then said.
He is currently undergoing a two-week training with the elite Para regiment of the force in Agra wherein he will be expected to do five parachute jumps after he finishes the course. Defence Ministry spokeperson Sitanshu Kar confirmed this saying that he will be expected to do five jumps after two week training. He began the training at Para Brigade, Agra on August 5.
Dhoni has always maintained that after he bids aideu to the game, he would 'definitely' want to serve the army.
