A judge in Britain has revealed that she is clueless about the laws of cricket, saying she doesn't know what sixes and fours are.
A cricket club had gone to court to oppose the granting of planning permission for an extension of a first-floor flat to be built over an old forge next to its ground and Robert Fookes, appearing for the club, told Justice Beverley Lang in the High Court last week that one of the objections was that the forge was very close to the pitch, the Daily Express reported.
He said that, "sixes and fours are frequently hit by batsmen on to forge land, including the roof of the building itself", to which the judge said she doesn't what it means, as she doesn't play cricket.
