Legendary Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho is reportedly considering coming out of retirement to play for Chapecoense Real football club.

Chapecoense lost their 19 players, plus club staff in the plane crash in Colombia which claimed the lives of 71 people.

The squad was on their way to play the first round of the Copa Sul-Americana finals.

Despite the tragedy, the pleas of the club and opponents to let go of the finals have been allegedly rejected and Chapecoense will have to play the remaining fixture on December 11.

Hence, Ronaldinho is, according to a report in The Mirror, considering helping out the club in the time of its need by putting on his boots for no playing fee.

Ronaldinho's brother and agent Roberto Assis said that the striker will do everything he can to help the club. He told Globo Esporte, "It is a very difficult time. Later on, if there is a contact, we can talk. He fits the profile, can be the right guy. But the moment is to help families and it would be (wrong) to create expectations for now. As Brazilians, we feel involved. We are together."

There are also speculations that former Argentine player Juan Roman Riquelme will follow Ronaldinho's suit.
