British two-time world champion Amir Khan has expressed his desire to donate a pair of shorts worth 30,000 pounds, in an attempt to extend his support to rebuild the Peshawar army school where 141 children and staff were killed by the Taliban.

Expressing his sympathies to the victims, Khan said that it was very sad to see innocent kids being killed and that he wanted to donate the shorts for the Peshawar cause to help rebuild a school and strengthen security around the area, the BBC reported.

The Briton, who recently triumphed over Devon Alexander in Las Vegas, wore the shorts having the waistband made from 24-carat gold threading.

Khan, who is of Pakistani origin, said that they were very lucky to be in England as they had good security, adding that he would be able to send his daughter to school without worrying, but that was not the case in Pakistan.
