Wimbledon legend Boris Becker has revealed that his wife Barbara lost cool and beat him after his infidelity led to the end of their marriage.
According to the Daily Express, the triple All-England tournament winner detailed the turmoil of his break-up with the mother of two of his sons in his second autobiography entitled Life Is Not A Game.
He told how at one point his screaming son Noah, then aged six, tried to separate the warring couple, the report said.
Becker married Barbara Feltus in 1993 and he fathered two children with her, Noah and Elias, the report added.
It was when his wife was carrying Elias in 1999 that he had a much publicised, but very brief fling, which ended the marriage the following year, the split costing Becker around 18 million pounds, the report further said.
The encounter was with Russian emigre Anna Ermakova in the toilet of the upscale London restaurant Nobu and resulted in the birth of his illegitimate daughter Anna, according to the report.
Becker said that his wife shouted at him, suddenly jumped up and began to hit him like mad, adding that it was horrible.
Becker is now remarried to Dutch model Sharlely Lilly Kerssenberg and they have a three-year-old son named Amadeus Benedict Edley Luis Becker, the report mentioned.
