Big Fat Punjabi Wedding: Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra to tie the knot in October

Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh is set to marry his long-time girlfriend Geeta Basra in October. The ceremony will take place in Phagwara, about 20 km from Jalandhar, on October 29, reports Hindustan Times.

Reports also suggest that the dates might change if Harbhajan is selected for the upcoming series against South Africa on home grounds.

Harbhajan and Geeta Basra never commented on their relationship but the rumour mills for the wedding announcement caught wind when Bhajji made a special appearance in Basra's latest flick Second Hand Husband. During the promotion tour of the film, Basra said, “Don’t read so much into it. It’s a fun appearance, not a wedding announcement. When I get married, I won’t do it chup-chup ke. I’ll announce it  from the rooftops. Arrey, Punjabi ladki hoon, Punjabi shaadi karungi khoob dhoom-dhaam se.”

Media reports say that wedding preparations and invitations will be finalised once Harbhajan is back from Sri Lanka. Given the profession of the couple, several movie stars and cricketers are expected to attend it to make it a wedding to remember.
