Trinamool Congress leader Subrata Mukherjee on Sunday questioned Jagmohan Dalmiya proposing himself for re-election as president of the Cricket Association of Bengal at its 83rd AGM in Kolkata on Sunday.

"In a parliamentary democracy, one does not propose himself to be elected and Mukherjee raised the point during the AGM," state Agri-Marketing Minister Arup Roy, who reporesented Howrah DSA, told reporters.
Mukherjee, West Bengal Panchayat and Public Health Engineering Minister, also said that CAB did not have any electoral officer or observer to conduct the AGM, Roy said.

The minister represented Ballygunge United at the meeting. Dalmiya, however, said that there was no disparity in the election and that they acted keeping in mind the constitution.

"We've acted according to the rules and consitution of the association. If anybody has got any query he can come forward any time. We maintain that whatever decision we have taken was in accordance with the rules of the consitution," he said.
