Only 2.1 overs of play was possible between Odisha and Tamil Nadu on the third day of their Ranji Trophy Group B match due to rain and wet outfield at the DRIEMS stadium in Cuttack.

Tamil Nadu added a solitary run to their overnight score of 66 for two and, in the process, lost the wicket of opener Abhnav Mukund (21) on the penultimate ball of the day.

Baba Aparajith (4 not out) scored the only run of the day before the play was called off with the visitors at 67 for three.

The second day's play was called off for similar reasons without a ball being bowled while only 31 overs of play was possible on the opening day due to delayed start owing to adverse conditions.

After winning the toss, the hosts had put Tamil Nadu in to take maximum advantage of the squally weather.
