In his years in F1, Narain Karthikeyan struggled to avoid finishing last. But the racer is enjoying immense success in the Auto GP series.
After round six of the series, the Indian has won three races.
Starting on pole, Karthikeyan overcame opposition from Italian GP2 driver Kevin Giovesi and his Super Nova teammate Vittorio Ghirelli to win the race at Nurburgring.
The victory, along with one point for Saturday’s pole position has taken Karthikeyan’s points tally to 122 points in the championship. The Indian racer is now 17 points behind third-placed Vittorio Ghirelli.
The Auto GP World Series was formerly known as both Euro Formula 3000, Euroseries 3000 and Auto GP. It is a European formula racing series.
Racing for Super Nova International, Karthikeyan has managed to secure three consecutive pole positions in the last three races.
The Auto GP series seems to be suiting the Indian racer as he gains laurels and wins aiming to win the championship.
