The Australian cricketers' run of injuries continue as Chris Lynn and Aaron Finch have been ruled out of the upcoming two-match T20 series against Sri Lanka due to their respective injuries.

Confirming the news, Australia's physiotherapist David Beakley revealed that Lynn dislocated his left shoulder during a fielding drill at the training session while Aaron injured his right index finger during the fifth and the final ODI at Pallekele. "Consequently he will be unavailable for the remaining matches and instead will return to Brisbane to undergo further investigation to determine the full extent of the injury," Beakley said of Lynn.

Lynn and Finch have now joined Shaun Marsh (broken finger) and Nathan Coulter-Nile (back injury) on the Australian injury list, ESPNcricinfo reported. The first T20I between the two teams will take place at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday while Australia's tour of Sri Lanka will conclude after the completion of the second T20I at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on September 9.

The Australian T20 squad is as follows: David Warner (capt), George Bailey, Scott Boland, James Faulkner, John Hastings, Travis Head, Moises Henriques, Usman Khawaja, Glenn Maxwell, Peter Nevill (wk), Mitchell Starc, Matthew Wade, Adam Zampa.
